Elaine Binder Biography
Elaine Binder 1922 - 2015
Elaine Binder (affectionately known as Babe) was born and raised in Brookline, MA. As a child she enjoyed tennis, horseback riding, and bowling. She was a fine artist from a young age and followed her passion for painting, choosing it as a career for the rest of her life. She graduated from the Art Institute of Boston and studied at the Arts Students League in NYC.
In her early twenties she chose to live in the big city of New York and in 1952, Elaine married Ralph Binder and raised their family in Orangeburg, NY. Elaine taught art classes at the Palisades Gardens, Palisades NY for over twenty years, and exhibited her art work at many venues throughout Rockland County and New York City.
